Dredge™
Cooling Tower Cleaner
DISPERSANT RESTORES COOLING TOWER EFFICIENCY
Dredge™ is formulated to clean organic matter from cooling tower basins and piping during the off season. It targets dirt, debris, biomasses and sludge that reduce system efficiency and increase costs. Powerful wetting agents penetrate and lift debris into suspension, allowing it to be flushed out to restore performance.
ENSURES CLEAN SEASONAL STARTUP
Using Dredge™ before startup helps ensure your cooling tower operates at peak efficiency from the first day of the season. By removing built up organic material and restoring flow, Dredge™ enhances the performance of your water treatment program and prepares your system for reliable and efficient operation.
loosening them for easy removal. Dredge can be used on a continuous maintenance program or as a clean up program. Cooling Tower Cleaning: The feed rate for Dredge depends on the severity of the fouling. Initially, feed Dredge to the cooling system at a rate of 40 – 60 ounces per 1000 gallons of cooling tower water. Circulate the cooling water for 12 – 24 hours. Heavily fouled systems may tend to slough off large amounts of deposited material. Use precaution during the cleaning phase to prevent plugging of screens, filters, small water lines and heat exchanges. After cleaning is complete, drain the cooling tower basin being careful to remove sludge, refill with fresh water and inhibitor and return to service.
Maintenance Dosage: Dredge can be used as a maintenance program for cooling systems that are prone to sludge and deposit formation. Feed Dredge 1 – 3 days each week at a rate
of 20 to 40 ounces per 1000 gallons of cooling tower volume. Dredge can be manually applied weekly or applied with a pump and timer. Over feed of Dredge may cause foaming. At
normal use level Dredge will generate a small amount of foaming during the cleaning process. Dredge is compatible with all State Industrial Products cooling water programs including
algaecides and biocides. Do not use Dredge with treatment programs other than State Industrial Products. NOTE: Avoid contamination of food during the use and storage of this product.
