F-987™ is a concentrated liquid oxygen scavenger that protects boiler systems by eliminating dissolved oxygen before it can cause pitting and corrosion. Registered as NSF G6 for use in food plants where steam may contact edible products, it ensures compliance while safeguarding feed systems and extending equipment life.

Formulated for efficiency, F-987™ delivers strong protection with minimal product usage, reducing both treatment costs and freight expenses. Its targeted oxygen removal helps maintain reliable boiler operation and prevents the expensive repairs associated with oxygen-related corrosion.
Formula 987™should be fed continuously to the boiler feed water system at a rate sufficient enough to maintain a sulfite level of 30 – 60 ppm. Formula 987 should be metered to the deaerator storage section, the boiler feed water tank or the condensate receiver. Use Formula 987 as part of a complete boiler treatment program consisting of steam line and internal boiler scale control products. The use rate of Formula 987 is dependent on several factors including feed water temperature, dissolved oxygen levels and boiler system operating cycle of concentration. Consult your State Chemical representative for specific product feed levels for your unique situation. For proper scale and corrosion control, maintain a boiler blowdown schedule to minimize sludge and scale formation as well as fuel and water usage. Formula 987 is not compatible with molybdate boiler products such as Super Hot Complete or Super Hot NST. NOTE: Do not use in potable water systems nor in any system which discharges into water supply used for drinking or washing. See SDS for additional handling information.
