Product Description

Powder Oxygen Scavenger™ stops, absorbs and removes oxygen, the prime cause of boiler corrosion and pitting. Use of Powder Oxygen Scavenger, combined with other State boiler products, protects the life and performance of boiler systems, reducing downtime and refit costs. Ideal for use in systems with less than 50% condensate return.

Directions for Use

Use Powder Oxygen Scavenger™ to prevent oxygen pitting and corrosion. (This product is compatible with State Stop-Scale™, #301 NCNP™ or BT-64™). Add one pound of Powder Oxygen Scavenger for each 1000 gallons of water in the system. The Powder Oxygen Scavenger can be dissolved in several gallons of water to make addition of the oxygen scavenger to the system more convenient. Dissolve each pound of Powder Oxygen Scavenger in at least 1 gallon of hot water. Stir or agitate this mixture to help it dissolve. Maintain a proper blowdown schedule, and a residual of 30-60 ppm Powder Oxygen Scavenger in the boiler at all times for effective protection from oxygen pitting or corrosion. NOTE: It is important that you monitor the Powder Oxygen Scavenger levels in the boiler water on site. Purchase the Powder Oxygen Scavenger Test Kit (stock #77857) to conduct this testing.
