Formuflex®
Clear Adhesive Sealant for Indoor/Outdoor Use
Clear Adhesive Sealant for Indoor and Outdoor Use
FormuFlex® keeps moisture, air, and dust out of gaps that cost facilities time and energy: around door and window frames, vent flanges, tile joints, weatherstripping, and dozens of other common maintenance points. Its synthetic elastomer formula bonds directly to a wide variety of surfaces and substrates without primer and holds up to UV exposure so exterior applications don’t degrade and need rework. The result is a maintenance-grade seal that holds through weather, UV exposure, and thermal cycling without the need for regular reapplication.
Where to Use FormuFlex® Clear Sealant
Use On: Door and window frames, gutter seams, vent flanges, floor tiles, wet surfaces, and electrical connectors.
Recommended For: Apartment buildings, hospitals, schools, transportation facilities, industrial repair shops.
Effective Against: Moisture infiltration, heat loss and thermal infiltration, air and dust penetration, UV-induced yellowing and brittleness.
Temperature Range: Cured bond is stable from -20°F to 140°F. Apply only when temperature is above 45°F.
Preparation:
Clean all surfaces free of grease, oil, dust or other contaminants.
Sealant Use:
Force the clear sealant into the joint. Completely fill the joint and smooth it by using a putty stick or tongue depressor moistened with State SSD® II. FormuFlex® will skin in 10 minutes and dry in 24 hours. Allow sealant to dry for 30 minutes before painting.
Adhesive Use:
Apply FormuFlex® in a thin film on both surfaces.
Allow the adhesive to stand for 30-60 seconds before joining the two surfaces.
Carefully put the two surfaces in the correct position. There is approximately 1-1/2 to 2 minutes of repositioning time before a permanent bond will form.
Note:
Do not use at temperatures below 45°F. Avoid contamination of food during the use and storage of this product.
