How State Guardian® Dry-Film Lubricant Protects Roller Chains and Wire Ropes
Wet lubricants trap dust and debris that grind against chain components — State Guardian® dry chain and cable lubricant penetrates fully into wire ropes and roller chains, then dries to a clean hard film using molybdenum disulfide that keeps rollers, pins, and bushings protected without attracting contamination. Unlike grease-based lubricants that build up and require frequent cleaning, the dry-film format extends relubrication intervals and keeps chains running cleanly in dusty, high-debris environments. Effective from 20°F to 175°F, State Guardian® maintains film integrity where grease-based lubricants soften or freeze.
Where to Use State Guardian® Chain & Cable Lubricant
Use On: Wire ropes, roller chains, drive chains, cables, gears.
Recommended For: Manufacturing plants, mining operations, transportation fleets, municipal equipment yards, crane and forklift maintenance facilities.
Effective Against: Galling, seizing, wear, corrosion, chain whip, and vibration.
1. Apply using sprayer or brush. For aerosols, spray from 6-12 inches away from surface.
2. Wait until dries to hard film in 20-30 minutes.
3. Reapply as needed.
