Aquatic Insect Control for Mosquito Larvae and Standing Water
Aqua Jolt® Aquatic Insect Control provides up to 14 days of effective control against mosquito larvae, blackflies, nuisance flies, aquatic midges, and other waterborne insects. Its 8.0% proprietary bacterial culture disperses quickly throughout standing water, targeting immature insects before they develop into breeding adults. The easy-to-apply liquid formula helps reduce pest populations while remaining safe for fish, humans, and wildlife when used as directed, making it ideal for commercial and municipal mosquito management. Where to Use Aqua Jolt® Aquatic Insect Control
Use In/On: Ponds, floodwater, roadside and irrigation ditches, catch basins, sewage lagoons, stormwater retention ponds, tidal water, salt marshes, rice fields, and standing water.
Recommended For: Municipalities, parks, golf courses, industrial facilities, agricultural operations, property managers, and mosquito control programs.
Effective Against: Mosquito larvae, blackflies, nuisance flies, aquatic midges, and other aquatic breeding insects.
Mosquito Larvae: Apply directly to standing water according to the labeled use rate. The formula disperses quickly and provides up to 14 days of larval control. Repeat applications as needed.
Nuisance Flies (Trickling Filter Systems): Apply 10–50 ppm (10–50 mg/L) of Aqua Jolt® Aquatic Insect Control to wastewater feeding the trickling filter system for a minimum of 30 minutes using a pre-calibrated pump or metering device. Use higher rates for Chironomus species. Repeat applications as needed. Full control may take up to 2 weeks.
Aquatic Midges (Shallow Lakes & Ponds): Apply 1 gallon per acre, diluted with water to a total spray volume of 5 gallons per acre, using a calibrated sprayer or by pouring evenly across the water surface. Repeat applications as necessary. Control of Chironomine midges may take up to 2 weeks.
