Product Description

Accumulation of scale and corrosion in closed water systems reduces system efficiency and increases energy costs. Formula 1400™ is a concentrated silicate/nitrite-based scale and corrosion inhibitor specifically designed to provide protection to closed hot water and chilled water systems that contain aluminum components.

Formula 1400 can be used full strength and requires no pre-mixing. It is compatible with ethylene and propylene glycol-based antifreeze.

Formula 1400 is approved for use in boiler and steam lines in all nonfood contact areas.

Directions for Use

Formula 1400™ is a nitrite/borate silicate treatment package designed to control the corrosion of mild steel, aluminum, and copper alloys in closed re-circulating water systems. Consult
your State Chemical sales representative for specific recommendations for your system. Maintain 700-900 ppm nitrite in the system water. Test this at least twice per heating or cooling
season. Not for use in potable systems.
